Generally, we don’t recommend Bluoxyn. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) hasn’t approved it. There’s no research backing up the benefits of the product. And many users give unsatisfied reviews for the product and complain about having difficulty canceling their memberships.

Saw palmetto extract is a supplement commonly used to treat enlarged prostates and urinary function. In a small 2020 study, people taking 200 milligrams of saw palmetto extract for 12 weeks had lower prostatic symptom scores and male aging scores than those taking a placebo, Lee explains.

The treatment group had raised testosterone levels. She says the study did not measure the function of the penis.

Tongkat ali extract

Tongkat ali is an herbal remedy used in Southeast Asian medicine. In a 2013 study, 63 participants experiencing moderate stress received either tongkat ali extract or a placebo for 4 weeks. The treatment group showed reduced salivary cortisol and increased salivary testosterone levels, suggesting that the ingredient may improve stress levels.

The study was small and was sponsored by a Malaysian biotropical research company. The results should be seen as preliminary and more research is needed before any benefits can be proven.

Sarsaparilla

There have also been false claims that sarsaparilla, a tropical plant, can increase testosterone levels. However, this has never been documented in humans, Lee says.

Nettle extract

According to a 2015 review, nettle extract has only been shown to improve the sperm count and testosterone count of mice, not humans.

sarsaparilla A herb from the roots of tropical species of Smilax, according to a 2015 study, sarsaparilla has been suggested to improve immune health, reduce blood glucose, protect against liver injury, reduce inflammation, and suppress cancer. The company states that sarsaparilla may help increase Sex drive. and support fertility, but research is lacking in this regard.
nettle extract According to a 2016 review, this is an herbal medicine commonly used in traditional societies in Northern America, tropical Asia, Europe, and Northern Africa. According to a 2018 review, nettles are one of the most commonly used herbal medicines because of the wide range of health benefits they may provide.

However, their most popular proposed health benefit is for managing enlarged prostate and urinary tract infections.

Overall, Bluoxyn has a negative reputation for the ineffectiveness of its product. The company has a Better Business Bureau (BBB) page, and the BBB gives them an F rating. This rating reflects the BBB’s opinion of the trustworthiness of the company.

So far, there are 39 complaints filed against the company. Bluoxyn hasn’t responded to 37 of these complaints.

Most of the reviews report that after signing up for a 14-day free trial of the product, the company wouldn’t stop charging them for their automatic shipping membership program and sending them bottles of Bluoxyn without their consent.

According to the complaints, people have had multiple problems with the company, including:

“In a comprehensive 2015 review published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, the authors reviewed a staggering array of male sexual health supplements, looking at product information, dosing, cost, and mode of action,” Lee explains.

The authors found that although labeled as “natural,” 81% of products tested in the United States and Asia contained phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors, drugs for treating ED. However, they were not labeled as such. And this can be extremely dangerous, Lee warns.

These drugs aren’t safe for people with severe or unstable cardiovascular health or using nitrate class medications.

Another issue worth noting, according to Lee, is the possibility of some herbal products being contaminated with heavy metals, which may adversely affect a person’s health.

The company claims that the product has no harmful side effects, but it may have some.

For instance, horny goat weed is one of the main ingredients in Bluoxyn. According to a 2014 study on sexual enhancement products sold online, it may cause:
