The NordicTrack Vault is an interactive smart mirror that can be used in a home gym without taking up a lot of floor space.
It has a built-in storage system for exercise equipment and an extensive workout library, which is a great choice if you prefer trainer-led workouts.
There are drawbacks to consider, including its price, size, and function.
We tried the NordicTrack Vault for 2 months to see if it was worth the price.
The NordicTrack Vault has a sleek design with a large interactive tablet for streaming on-demand classes.
It is hard to justify the hefty price tag if you already own an iFit-integrated machine.
The NordicTrack Vault is a storage system for your exercise equipment.
It’s designed by NordicTrack — a fitness company known for producing a wide range of high quality cardio machines, including treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, and rowers.
The large touch screen mirror can be used to stream a variety of on-demand workout classes and is fully reflective, allowing you to adjust your posture and form as you exercise.
The Vault is not mounted onto the wall.
Have you used anything like the Vault before?
Nope! This was my first time exercising with a smart workout machine, despite the popularity of smart home gym equipment.
- Equipment can be kept organized with vertical storage.
- iFit is the company that powers the on-demand classes.
- A rotating touch screen is a mirror.
- A durable carbon-steel frame is what it is.
- Compared to competitors, the warranty is longer.
- Live classes are not available.
- “IFit’s full class library is not allowed.”
- No option for personal training.
- It is expensive.
The NordicTrack Vault is a great option for people who want a smart fitness mirror that includes both streamable workout classes and workout equipment all in one. The Complete model has accessories.
You can check your form in the reflective surface of the vault while you follow along with your trainer.
“It’s a good choice if you enjoy changing up your workout routine, because you can choose from a lot of different workouts.”
As with other NordicTrack devices, the Vault is powered by iFit, making it a great option if you already own another iFit-integrated machine.
“The NordicTrack Vault doesn’t offer live classes or personal training. It might not be the right fit for you if you prefer a more open gym environment or if you prefer working out with other people.”
The NordicTrack Vault is available in a single model, which costs $1,499, and includes delivery, assembly, and a 30-day family membership to i Fit.
The Complete model costs $1,999 and includes delivery, assembly, and a 1-year iFit membership, along with a variety of workout accessories.
You can apply for the TD Fit Loan at checkout if you are a qualified customer.
The NordicTrack Vault has a 10-year frame warranty, 2-year parts warranty, and 1-year labor warranty.
iFit membership costs more after your first year. Individual plans cost $180 per year and family plans cost $39 per month.
The NordicTrack Vault is 18.4 feet tall by 24.1 feet wide and 3 feet deep.
The Vault has a 61.5-inch mirror and a 32-inch touch screen for streaming workouts on i Fit.
The mirror also features dual, digitally amplified speakers and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to use your own heart rate monitor or headphones.
It is made of carbon-steel and weighs approximately 258 pounds.
What makes the Vault unique from other smart mirrors is its rotating screen, which opens to reveal a convenient vertical storage system for keeping your dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands organized.
The Vault comes empty or includes the following accessories.
- 2 yoga blocks.
- 3 loops
- 3 resistance bands.
- The weight of the kettlebells is 20 and 30.
- 5–30-pound (2.3–13.6-kg) dumbbell.
- An exercise mat.
- Premium shelves.
- There are hanging shelves.
- towel is being cleaned
I was surprised by the quality of the equipment. The yoga blocks are easy to grip, the resistance bands are thick, and the dumbbells are comfortable to hold.
“The only things I didn’t like were the kettlebells. I prefer the feel of cast iron kettlebells, they are of good quality.”
NordicTrack will install the vault in your room for an additional fee.
The Vault can not be wall-mounted due to its weight.
The Vault is very difficult to move, so make sure you keep it in the room where it is assembled, as it is very difficult to move.
You will need to create an ifit account after the device is installed.
I found the user manual and warranty paperwork for the ifit gift card during this step. You will need to use the number on the back of the card to redeem your free ifit membership.
You will be asked a few questions after you create your account. The Vault will use this information to create personalized class recommendations.
You can browse for on-demand classes using filters, including class type, intensity, duration, target area, instructor, and required equipment, from the home screen.
“The Vault doesn’t allow access to iFit’s full class library. You will only be able to stream Vault 158 specific workouts.”
“The Vault doesn’t support live iFit classes.”
There are some class types available on the Nordic VaultTrack.
- Strength training.
- The instructor is aPilates instructor
- Tone and sculpt.
- A boot camp.
Many studios and scenic classes require equipment such as weights or resistance bands, which is why there is a good variety of workouts to choose from.
Train Like a Pro is a series of workout programs that are designed for professional athletes.
While I haven’t tried them all, I highly recommend Alex Morgan’s series, which offers a good variety of cardio, balance, and mobility workouts.
The NordicTrack Vault is a machine that instantly gives a home gym a luxurious feel.
The speakers are great, the screen is bright, and the mirror is smooth.
While it costs an extra $500, the Vault Complete is, in my opinion, well worth the investment if you don’t already own gym equipment. Not only are the items well-made, but they’re designed to perfectly fit inside the machine — though, getting them to fit isn’t the easiest.
I searched for a video online to learn how to properly arrange the items so that they fit.
The device already costs $1,499 on its own, so $500 is no small investment. You should only buy similar equipment for less if it fits as neatly as possible.
“I had expected the Vault to give me access to iFit’s full library, so I wanted to make sure to mention that before moving on to the workouts. I was surprised to learn that the company has plans to add more classes in the future.”
158 is still a decent number, but it feels limited.
The interface is easy to use and I appreciated being able to choose classes based on duration, intensity, target area, instructor, and required equipment.
The classes themselves follow a similar format, offering an optional warmup period, the class itself, and 10 minutes at the end for self-led cooldown stretches.
I understand that the benefits of having the warmup and the time to cool off is optional, but it will allow you to shorten the duration of your workout if you need to. I often wished for instructor-led routines that were tailored to the class.
Thanks to the reflective surface, you can see the instructor and keep an eye on your form. I was surprised at how helpful this feature is, but I wish the machine could give real-time form feedback.
As for the class content, I initially assumed I’d use the Vault for high intensity cardio training with a few days of yoga and Strength training. weaved in.
“I only use the vault for sculpt and strength training workouts as the cardio and yoga classes don’t have the same energy and fun element as other fitness programs I’ve tried.”
Instead, if cardio is your main focus, I’d recommend purchasing one of NordicTrack’s other iFit-powered machines, such as the Commercial S22i Studio Cycle or the RW900 rower, as you can still stream strength-training classes on iFit.
Of course, if you’re willing to splurge, you could purchase both the Vault and a NordicTrack smart treadmill, rower, or bike for the ultimate home gym experience.
Several workout mirrors on the market are comparable to the NordicTrack Vault in terms of price, specs, and available features.

Many online reviewers appreciate that the sleek, slim design of the Vault makes it possible to enjoy the benefits of a home gym without needing lots of equipment or a large workout space.
Other customers like the wide selection of classes and the device doubles as a mirror when not in use.
Plus, the Vault is currently less It is expensive. than similar smart mirrors like the Tempo Studio and offers a longer warranty.
“Unlike many competitors, the Vault doesn’t offer live classes or leaderboards, which is a disadvantage for some.”
It is still an investment if you choose the Complete version with all the accessories.
The weight of the mirror can be an issue if you are looking for a product that can be easily moved or transported.
Some customers have reported experiencing multiple shipping delays or technical issues with the user interface.
The Vault has a sleek design that allows you to monitor your form while exercising.
It is ideal if you are limited on space.
You will need to purchase the Complete package or buy your own equipment to get the most out of your purchase, as many of the classes require exercise equipment.
“The cardio-based options are limited and not as enjoyable as those found in the larger iFit library, which unfortunately isn’t accessible on the vault.”
The Vault is a steep price tag, yet lacks several features offered by competitors, including personal training sessions, individualized feedback, and live classes.
The Vault is a well-made machine, but it is best suited for people who already own an iFit-integrated device or plan to purchase one in the future.
Do you have to have an iFit subscription to use the NordicTrack Vault?
“You need an ifit subscription to access NordicTrack Vault. You can still do workouts on your own, but you won’t be able to follow along with a class.”
Which is better, the Mirror or the NordicTrack Vault?
If you already have workout accessories like dumbbell, kettlebells, and resistance bands, then the mirror may be a better option. You can choose one-on-one personal training sessions, unlike other smart mirrors.
The NordicTrack Vault is a great option if you’re already looking to purchase gym equipment or prefer Strength training.. NordicTrack, ProForm, and FreeMotion make other iFit-enabled equipment like bikes and treadmills, so the Vault is especially convenient if you own another one of these machines or plan to buy one.
Can you watch TV on the NordicTrack Vault?
“You can’t watch TV on the Nordic VaultTrack. You will need a separate device to watch shows if the ifit app is not compatible with streaming services.”
The NordicTrack Vault is a smart mirror that can help you improve your fitness routine.
If you already own an iFit machine, it is a good choice.
The Vault is heavy and difficult to move, which may not be a good fit for everyone.
