The NordicTrack Vault is a storage system for your exercise equipment.

It’s designed by NordicTrack — a fitness company known for producing a wide range of high quality cardio machines, including treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, and rowers.

The large touch screen mirror can be used to stream a variety of on-demand workout classes and is fully reflective, allowing you to adjust your posture and form as you exercise.

The Vault is not mounted onto the wall.

Nope! This was my first time exercising with a smart workout machine, despite the popularity of smart home gym equipment.

The NordicTrack Vault is a great option for people who want a smart fitness mirror that includes both streamable workout classes and workout equipment all in one. The Complete model has accessories.

You can check your form in the reflective surface of the vault while you follow along with your trainer.

As with other NordicTrack devices, the Vault is powered by iFit, making it a great option if you already own another iFit-integrated machine.

How much does the NordicTrack Vault cost?

The Complete model costs $1,999 and includes delivery, assembly, and a 1-year iFit membership, along with a variety of workout accessories.

The NordicTrack Vault has a 10-year frame warranty, 2-year parts warranty, and 1-year labor warranty.

iFit membership costs more after your first year. Individual plans cost $180 per year and family plans cost $39 per month.

What makes the Vault unique from other smart mirrors is its rotating screen, which opens to reveal a convenient vertical storage system for keeping your dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands organized.

The Vault comes empty or includes the following accessories.

I was surprised by the quality of the equipment. The yoga blocks are easy to grip, the resistance bands are thick, and the dumbbells are comfortable to hold.

“The only things I didn’t like were the kettlebells. I prefer the feel of cast iron kettlebells, they are of good quality.”

Setup and assembly 

NordicTrack will install the vault in your room for an additional fee.

The Vault can not be wall-mounted due to its weight.

The Vault is very difficult to move, so make sure you keep it in the room where it is assembled, as it is very difficult to move.

You will need to create an ifit account after the device is installed.

I found the user manual and warranty paperwork for the ifit gift card during this step. You will need to use the number on the back of the card to redeem your free ifit membership.

You will be asked a few questions after you create your account. The Vault will use this information to create personalized class recommendations.

What classes are offered on the Vault?

You can browse for on-demand classes using filters, including class type, intensity, duration, target area, instructor, and required equipment, from the home screen.

Train Like a Pro is a series of workout programs that are designed for professional athletes.

While I haven’t tried them all, I highly recommend Alex Morgan’s series, which offers a good variety of cardio, balance, and mobility workouts.

My experience using the NordicTrack Vault

The NordicTrack Vault is a machine that instantly gives a home gym a luxurious feel.

The speakers are great, the screen is bright, and the mirror is smooth.

While it costs an extra $500, the Vault Complete is, in my opinion, well worth the investment if you don’t already own gym equipment. Not only are the items well-made, but they’re designed to perfectly fit inside the machine — though, getting them to fit isn’t the easiest.

I searched for a video online to learn how to properly arrange the items so that they fit.

The device already costs $1,499 on its own, so $500 is no small investment. You should only buy similar equipment for less if it fits as neatly as possible.

“I had expected the Vault to give me access to iFit’s full library, so I wanted to make sure to mention that before moving on to the workouts. I was surprised to learn that the company has plans to add more classes in the future.”

158 is still a decent number, but it feels limited.

The interface is easy to use and I appreciated being able to choose classes based on duration, intensity, target area, instructor, and required equipment.

The classes themselves follow a similar format, offering an optional warmup period, the class itself, and 10 minutes at the end for self-led cooldown stretches.

I understand that the benefits of having the warmup and the time to cool off is optional, but it will allow you to shorten the duration of your workout if you need to. I often wished for instructor-led routines that were tailored to the class.

Thanks to the reflective surface, you can see the instructor and keep an eye on your form. I was surprised at how helpful this feature is, but I wish the machine could give real-time form feedback.

As for the class content, I initially assumed I’d use the Vault for high intensity cardio training with a few days of yoga and Strength training. weaved in.

“I only use the vault for sculpt and strength training workouts as the cardio and yoga classes don’t have the same energy and fun element as other fitness programs I’ve tried.”

Instead, if cardio is your main focus, I’d recommend purchasing one of NordicTrack’s other iFit-powered machines, such as the Commercial S22i Studio Cycle or the RW900 rower, as you can still stream strength-training classes on iFit.

Of course, if you’re willing to splurge, you could purchase both the Vault and a NordicTrack smart treadmill, rower, or bike for the ultimate home gym experience.
