According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), arthritis affects about one in four adults in the United States. While there are over 100 types of arthritis, one of the most common forms is rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that targets joints and often results in pain, stiffness, inflammation, and joint deformity. It usually affects joints on both sides of the body.

Although it affects the joints, it can also damage other organs.

RA can develop at any age, but it most commonly begins between ages 30 and 50. We partnered with wellness brand Green Roads, makers of a new Arthritis Pain Relief Roll-On, to bring you tips to help manage arthritis pain and symptoms for any age or lifestyle.

It is a good idea to consult with a medical professional to find out which treatments are right for you.

If you’re looking for a resource to help you advocate for your medical care and treatment, the Arthritis Foundation Helpline is an option for one-on-one support.
